During my time working as an anxiety therapist, I have come across many clients suffering from anxiety in some form or another. Whether it was an official diagnosis like "generalized anxiety disorder" or "OCD", they all had something in common. An experience of nervousness, restlessness, and fear that was affecting them in their daily lives. This made it difficult for them to function at school, at work, or in their relationships.
For some the anxiety is something they felt like was life long and for others the anxiety seemed to come up suddenly.
In both cases, the end result was someone who was unable to live their life to the fullest because of anxiety.
Traditional therapists often utilize a combination of cognitive behavioral therapy and medication. And for most that does a great job of temporary relieving their symptoms.
While cognitive behavioral therapy is a proven method, it primarily focuses on anxiety from an internal perspective, assuming that the cause of your anxiety is solely due to your thoughts. However, this isn't always the case. Anxiety is frequently rooted in environmental factors, particularly for working professionals in high-pressure jobs.
Rather than providing worksheets and terms to memorize, my approach incorporates situational coaching, which addresses how your anxiety stems from being in anxiety-inducing situations. As your anxiety coach, I will equip you with strategies to manage your anxiety response and offer coaching to help you navigate challenging situations at work, school, or at home.
I can assist you by shifting your focus from your subjective experience of anxiety to an objective understanding of your situation. Whether it's a person, place, thing, or idea affecting you, there is an underlying factor in your life causing your anxious state.
I ask all potential anxiety coaching clients to schedule a complimentary 15-minute consultation with me. During this time, you can ask any questions you have about working with me as your situational anxiety coach. I'll ask questions to ensure we're a good fit. My hourly rate is $200, and I offer financial assistance to those who qualify, if you find my approach helpful and you are a good fit, then sometimes the best payment is a good review.
