COvid-19 Statemement

I have switched my practice to a fully online format. I use a secure encrypted peer to peer video conferencing service to ensure your confidentiality [not Zoom]. I have been doing teletherapy for the past five years, and know what it takes to establish good therapeutic rapport. You can also check out my youtube channel for more updates as well as an example of how therapy will look and sound.

What is adhd?

The classic symptoms of ADHD include

  • Impulsiveness.
  • Disorganization and problems prioritizing.
  • Poor time management skills.
  • Problems focusing on a task.
  • Trouble multitasking.
  • Excessive activity or restlessness.
  • Poor planning.
  • Low frustration tolerance

Only a licensed mental health professional can diagnose you with ADHD after getting a history of you and your symptoms. We will discuss this in our initial consultation.

How Is your therapy different?

Conventional Wisdom treats ADHD with a combination of cognitive-behavioral therapy and medication. If you are seeking medication, I have a list of providers that are accepting new clients and that I trust. They only provide medication to those in therapy.   I devised Situational Therapy for ADHD through collaboration with clients who either could not tolerate stimulant medication, wanted to pursue non-pharmacological interventions, or were already on medication and not seeing any change.  Situational Therapy for ADHD focuses on providing instruction on how to change situations that lead to procrastination, low-frustration tolerance, and self-loathing. My ADHD clients often know exactly what they need to do in order to make changes. I show them how to do it.

Rates and insurance

I offer financial scholarships where I will subsidize up to 33% of the cost of therapy for those in financially difficult situations. To qualify you must attend an initial consultation and verbally request a scholarship  My hourly rate is $150 per hour. I do not submit claims on your behalf, but I will take care of the paperwork for you to submit your own insurance claims.
